Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean cutting board. Separate the dough along the perforated lines so you have 8 triangles.
  3. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice each triangle lengthwise into 3 or 4 strips, about ¼-inch wide.
  4. Take one hot dog and start wrapping a dough strip around it, starting at one end and working your way up. Leave a small gap at the top—about ½ inch—for the eyes. Overlap the strips slightly as you go. Press the end of the dough gently to seal it. Repeat with all 8 hot dogs.
  5. Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about an inch of space between each one.
  6. Brush with melted butter (optional) and sprinkle with any desired seasonings.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
