Fourth of July Charcuterie Board - featured image

A festive and easy-to-assemble charcuterie board featuring fresh berries, creamy brie, and assorted crackers, perfect for Fourth of July celebrations and summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel Brie cheese (8 ounces / 225 grams), room temperature
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries (about 450 grams), hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries (150 grams), washed and dried
  • 1 cup red grapes (150 grams), halved (optional)
  • 3 cups assorted crackers (90 grams), mix of buttery round crackers and multigrain crisps
  • 2 tablespoons honey (30 ml), for drizzling
  • A handful fresh rosemary or mint sprigs, for garnish
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds or pecans (30 grams), toasted lightly (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse all berries and grapes gently under cold water. Pat dry carefully with a kitchen towel to avoid sogginess. Hull and slice the strawberries into thin slices, then set aside. (About 10 minutes)
  2. Toast the sliced almonds or pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently. Let cool completely before adding to the board.
  3. Place the wheel of brie in the center of your serving board. Let it rest at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before serving to soften and bring out its full flavor.
  4. Starting from the top left corner, arrange strawberry slices in a star pattern across the board to create the ‘stars and stripes’ centerpiece. Place blueberries inside the star shape to mimic the blue field on the flag.
  5. Fill the spaces around the star with halved red grapes and clusters of crackers, alternating colors and textures for visual appeal.
  6. Tuck fresh rosemary or mint sprigs around the edges and drizzle honey over the brie wheel just before serving.
  7. Sprinkle toasted nuts lightly over the board for crunch and scatter a few extra berries where needed to fill gaps.

Notes

Serve brie at room temperature for best flavor. Pat berries dry to avoid soggy crackers. Add honey and fresh herbs just before serving to keep freshness. Toast nuts carefully to avoid burning. Can substitute ingredients for dietary preferences.
