Ingredients

  • Aged Cheddar, sharp, sliced into triangles
  • Smoked Gouda, cut into cubes
  • Brie, whole wheel or half wheel
  • Goat Cheese Log, plain or herbed
  • Mozzarella Pearls, drained
  • Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • Salami, sliced into rounds
  • Pepperoni, small slices or sticks
  • Candy Corn, about 1 cup
  • Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, miniatures or unwrapped
  • Dark Chocolate Bar, broken into pieces (70% cocoa or higher)
  • Gummy Worms, about 1 cup
  • Caramel Chews, unwrapped
  • Candy Eyeballs, a handful
  • Red Grapes, washed and stemmed
  • Dried Apricots, about 1/2 cup
  • Apple Slices, thin wedges (tossed in lemon water)
  • Pretzel Sticks, about 1 cup
  • Pumpkin Seeds, roasted and salted
  • Honey, for drizzling over brie (optional)
  • Fresh Rosemary, a few sprigs

Instructions

  1. Set the Foundation (2 minutes): Place your board on a flat surface. Arrange small bowls for candy corn, gummy worms, and honey (if using) evenly across the board.
  2. Place the Cheeses (3 minutes): Unwrap cheeses and place them around the board. Put brie near center-left, aged cheddar opposite, smoked gouda near candy corn bowl, goat cheese log in a corner, and mozzarella pearls near grapes.
  3. Layer the Meats (3 minutes): Fold prosciutto into loose ribbons and place near brie. Arrange salami rounds in overlapping rows. Scatter pepperoni sticks in a separate pile.
  4. Add the Candy and Chocolate (3 minutes): Scatter Reese’s cups in small groups. Break dark chocolate into pieces and place near cheddar. Arrange caramel chews along one edge. Tuck candy eyeballs into goat cheese log.
  5. Fill in with Fruits and Crunch (4 minutes): Place red grapes in small clusters. Arrange apple slices in a fan pattern near brie. Scatter dried apricots around the board. Add pretzel sticks in small bundles. Sprinkle pumpkin seeds over the board.
  6. Garnish and Finish (2 minutes): Drizzle honey over brie if using. Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs between cheese and meat clusters. Place extra candy eyeballs around the board. Fill any gaps with pretzels or extra grapes.
  7. Serve Immediately or Chill (1 minute): Best served at room temperature. If making ahead, cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 hours. Remove from fridge 20 minutes before serving.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the board; leave about an inch of space between clusters. Let brie come to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before serving. Use candy as a flavor bridge between sweet and savory. Prep all ingredients before arranging. For best results, serve at room temperature and don’t leave out for more than 2 hours.
